July 6, 2019 - Plantation, FL. A gas leak attributed to an "open natural gas valve" at a vacant business turned into a horrific blast that injured 22 people. The ignition source was linked to "electrical from an air-conditioning system that was being used in the empty business." I'm typically in this plaza weekly at this time of day, but was absent for the fourth of July holidays. The images below are the aftermath of that event.
